Netflix has mysteriously halted its support for Apple AirPlay, a service that helps users stream video content from one device to another in an easy way, such as streaming video from iPhone phones to TVs without the need for a wired connection between the two devices.
Apple has already made big partnerships with the world's largest television manufacturers, including Samsung, to enable AirPlay 2 on TVs and help users stream content over their phones. But Netflix says Apple's second-generation service does not have the full power to know users who broadcast through the service and measure their experiences with the network, so it stopped service support.
A spokesman for Netflix told The Verge : "We can not distinguish which device users will be broadcasting on (the type of TV). We can not really confirm the hardware, so the solution was to stop support for the service."
Users will therefore have access to Netflix and the content you provide through the official application installed on the devices only.
